A November Challenge

TikTok 'challenges' have entertained us, made us question the direction society is going, and done good things, like raising funds for organizations that help people. Some come with risks to ones health and some just are comical. You may have no idea what I'm talking about but that's okay. What you need to know is that sometimes we need to challenge ourselves...challenge ourselves to do better, be better, and focus on what is meaningful in our lives. How about a November challenge that doesn't involve any dancing, vandalism, risk of injury, or social media?

Is there someone who has been a positive influence in your life? Did someone make you feel at home in a new school, church, or community years ago and it meant so much to you that you still tell your kids about them today? Has someone shown up when you needed them but you didn't realize until years later just how much you needed them and how much that moment meant to you?
All for Three's November Challenge is to send handwritten thank you notes to the people who may not even know what an impact they have had in your life. Remind them of the moment that has stuck with you, and thank them for being who you needed in that moment.
This isn't a challenge that you will post and share your thankfulness with all of your Facebook friends, followers on Instagram or TikTok …this is between you, the the person you thank and God. This is taking the extra time to pick out stationery, use your best handwriting, buy a stamp, and drop an act of gratitude in the mailbox. Call it 'old school' or 'a snail mail challenge'...whatever you call it, just know that receiving that extra time that you took to say 'Thank You' might just be a moment that the receiver will thank you for some day.
“Thankfulness is the beginning of gratitude. Gratitude is the completion of thankfulness. Thankfulness may consist merely of words. Gratitude is shown in acts.”
—Henri Frederic Amiel”
